Hello! My name is Noemi Rojas Serrano, and this is my digital collection of my life achievements as I continue to build my professional career. Here you will find my past education, reflection of who I am and would like to continue to be as an OT professional, both present past work and leadership experiences, my mentored scholarship experience, school based practice experience, and capstone.

Professional Vision and Mission Statement

My personal mission and vision involve personal growth through values of inclusion, responsiveness, humility, altruism, and justice. My mission is to continue growing within my field and personal life through continued learning and experience. Continued learning on cultural humility, reinforcing my communication skills to better serve those close to me- my future colleagues, my cohort, and communities. My vision is to learn and implement taking action where I can prevent harm, volunteer in ways that are beneficial, advocate with others, and be part of the care we deserve based on our individual needs.

Start: Aug 2023- present

Giving care for a client with Cerebral Palsy who lives independently. I ensure safety of transfers, completion of activities of daily living, enhance opportunities for community participation, and establishing a professional rapport with client and his family.

Mentored Scholarship

I am in the SCI/D Health and Participation Program with Carla Walker, OTD, OTR/L, ATP as my mentor. My project involves piloting a student led SCI/D Health and Participation Program at The Rehabiliation Institute of Saint Louis where people from the community and inpatient are invited to join to have group sessions as well as individualized sessions.
